Where are you from and how did you land in London?
I am originally from Georgetown Ontario. I came to London when I started university studies at Western.
Tell us about your education and professional background.
I completed a degree in Music, honors spec. in education. I love everything I learned in this program, even if I have altered my path a bit to pursue a Masters in Social Work with the hopes of focusing on counselling psychology.
What cause are you most passionate about?
I am a big advocate for animals and the environment and implement that into my lifestyle.
I am also very passionate about mental health, so I also volunteer with the Certified Listeners Society.
Why did you want to volunteer at Innovation Works?
I was really interested in doing something new, meeting new people and making new connections within the community!
What is the best thing that’s happened for you as a result of volunteering at Innovation Works?
I've met some really cool folks at Innovation Works. I have also had the great opportunity to speak with some of the organizations/people to book rooms and have learned quite a lot from them!
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned as a result of volunteering at Innovation Works?
There is such a variety of skills and personalities at Innovation Works, it's refreshing and I've learned a lot about having such an open and positive work environment.
